This is a growing trend of quality apps popping up in the app store. There is a little lag when using certain tool but the app quality is pretty on par with the desktop app. Excellent job!

Being an owner of Arrange for Windows I really expected this to be something impressive... especially for $10. Much to my disappointment it's not. It feels more like a free app with very little to separate itself from something like Freshpaint. Sure it has layers, which is nice, but that's where the real differences end. I use Sketchable and prefer it to this. Duplicating layers is nice, but what's the point if you can't reposition the contents of that layer? Eraser has no ability to resize based on pressure. One of the nice features of the desktop app is the ability to rotate the canvas while you're working without having to rotate the tablet computer. This is a nice feature as rotating the tablet is kind of a pain to be honest. This feature is gone from the touch version. Bottom line is it's not worth $10 bucks. Spend the $10 on Sketchable and for a more complete feature set. Hopefully they'll improve upon this version as Artrage is a great pairing with a tablet..it just needs more.

Glad to see this in the windows app store. It adds a much needed addition to the art apps available here. Sketchable for the time being is still king of the windows art apps, but this is a nice surprise.

This art app is the best one on the Windows Store, next to Sketch Book Express. No micro-transactions for essential tools! User-friendly UI, Layers with features such as layer type and opacity! (A big feature if you have the Surface RT), a great variety of tools and presets. I am amazed on how much you can customize the tools, really awesome! My only complaint is that it only uses one file type (.ptg) (Unless you want to compress it, it uses PNG and JPG). It would be nice to give you an option to use .PST to open drawings in other programs like Photoshop and another feature that I want is that it could sync tool settings with your Microsoft Account but that's asking too much for a outstanding app it is. Overall this is my go to app for my Surface RT when I want to draw/paint. Worth the $9.99. Also I recommend using a 'fine point' stylus if you wanna draw on a RT device.

Like it a lot so far. Very realistic application- lots of fun. Would like to see a couple more basic menu tools, such as cut, copy, paste, etch.

Absolutely loved the trial version. So much I could do! Would have gave5 stars if it had the paint tube and blending work like real paint does. Takes only a tiny dot of back paint to darken a color, and a lot of white to lighten, but in the program the white lightens with very little additive, and the black takes forever to darken the color. Other than that, I was very pleased.

I'm starting to draw on my tablet, but paint wasn't any good so I went app hunting and found this. :)

I use the desktop version of Sketchbook Pro to draw mostly Manga. I downloaded ArtRage just for fun to see how it would do. I was really pleased. It has some great features and is even a bit more intuitive than Sketchbook. Of course SBP is a fully featured desktop program so it's not a fair comparison. But the tools in ArtRage work well, are easy to adjust, respond well to the pen/stylus, etc. Yes if I draw fast there is some lag, but there is also lag on my iPad as well. I've gotten used to it on apps and it doesn't bother me. The tool set is pretty complete. I can sketch on one layer with pencil and then outline with marker on another layer, hide the pencil layer and then drop in an underwater for colorizing with a combination of tools. Lots of fun.
21 February 2015
It is an excellent app. Truly the most superb art app available on Windows rt. That said, a few essential art tools are missing, such as a cut, copy, paste, the ability to move layers or a filter to adjust the colors in them. In the end, those are things I can still manage without and so I will still be buying the app as soon as I can.
21 February 2015
...performance is pretty bad compared to the desktop version. Brushes lag far behind my pen strokes. It's great to see a store version, but it needs to catch up a bit.

Art Rage is amazing. Its easily the closest thing to painting on really canvas you can find on the surface pro 3. Its a shame that you can't save the painting. Every time you try to save, it crashes.

Some might have better luck with sketchbook by Autodesk, however, I find the brushes to be too smooth and airbrush-like in texture. Worth the 10 dollars, I use this all the time when I'm not at my desk or able to take a real sketchbook with me.

Art Rage Touch is a wonderful program for beginning digital artists or even for kids and parents who just want to goof off a it. As a professional traditional artist I love Art Rage and how simple it is to understand how to use. It also has some wonderful features like loading pictures and managing the tool size, as well as hiding your tools while you're working. Give it a try on the demo and if you love it, it's well worth the purchase!

Ive been looking for a good drawing app and I think I've finally found one! Only thing that bugs me is I can't see how big the drawing tool is going to be. A little circle indicating how big it is would be nice! Also I think a lot of other users would like a mirror tool!! Kind of a horizontal tool that mirrors what you're drawing :3 really nice for Symmetry. I really love this app and it runs amazing , but I think those things I mentions would make it 10x more amazing.

I was stressed out and almost gave up finding a good drawing app for my surface. I almost gave up, until I found this AMAZING program.
One thing, the eyedropper gets the wrong color. Why is this? Anyways, nice job.
12 August 2015
It was a tie between Artrage and Sketchable, I chose Artrage after playing with the app for a bit I found out it has a gallery option for all my drawings, it's the one option for me wanting Sketchable. It get's a little laggy if the settings are set really high. Asus Vivotab Note 8.
