I stupidly bought this, and now I can't get my money back! I can't even export notes from this crapware. Sure, you can sync but you have to sync the whole book. If you read one book a year you may be happy, but if you have a library of more than 50 books, then you know that you just want the notes, not the whole darn book!

I love the app and would get the premium app but am concerned about the addition currency possible on the order

I read a review stating that this is the best ePub reader out there for Windows 8. NOT! It is easy to look at and read from, but am unable to highlight text with the mouse. I have to use my finger. Think smeary screen. Turns out that although the download is free, if you want to highlight with more than gray or do anything beyond plain vanilla, you need a SUBSCRIPTION. For now, I'll stick with NeoSoar and read mostly on my android tablet.
6 July 2015
The links on the epub file either show as footnotes or if link to another page does not show at all. Please fix.
6 July 2015
This ePub Reader is fairly clean and provides a nice screen experience. The app is missing some formatting that is embedded in my ePubs such as bulleted lists, color variations of text, and paragraph spacing. All of these have been ignored. However, you are able to select from several fonts, background and text color, as well as margins and justifications. As a heavy annotator of my ePub books, I need more advanced capability for taking notes and highlighting. The ability to modify the selected text range after highlighting and underline text. I am a fan of Mantano Reader on Android for ePub 2 format. They provide a good model for annotation capability, ...but I am trying to migrate to Windows. I plan to keep this app installed on my Surface Pro 3 and track updates to see how the app matures.

description says "•Let Bookviser read aloud to you using Text-to-Speech feature"
When you select the TTS asks you to buy the product. So the description is outright lying. I don't know what other features are crippled. Uninstalling

I bought the app and have it on my phone and Surface 2. It's my main reading app, however I get an error on both places when opening most of my books in epub format. Can't continue after a few pages.

Just great to be in the middle of a good book just to have a smart comment about being sorry... looks likes something went wrong...
22 April 2015
clever and fun mystery.
29 March 2015
a good e book reader
18 March 2015
IMO Bookviser is a better book reader thank Kindle and Nook. The reading UI is very good and far better than Nook's. Just please add the support of offline dictionaries and the app will truly deserve 5 stars.

After changing it to full screen mode, reading in portrait on the Surface is absolutely amazing. Highly recommended app. But the UI design of the main screen needs some beautifying. ;)
Keep up the great work!
13 February 2015
This app is the best reader for Windows (and Windows phones)! Competitors are far-far away from Bookviser by features, usability, speed, simplicity etc.

This app is incredibly frustrating to use, and certainly lacks the elegance and versatility of iBooks. You are quite limited in your capacity to arrange your library the way that you want to. While you can create categories, you can't access the many categories you've created. Adding books to the categories is clumsy as well, as each time you add a book, the app resets to the first book in the overall library (you lose your place). It can't import books from multiple folders, but instead you have to direct it to each individual folder. Very frustrating if you happen to have a huge Ebook library and have multiple books in folders titled after the author. Once you assign books to a category, you can't arrange the books within the category. For example, lets say you have all the books in the entire Dune Trilogy spanning different authors, but want them in a particular order.... well you can't. I fell for the add to upgrade to the premium version of this app. Wish I hadn't.

moon reader is free also, but it has a lot more options like multiple highlight color, underline capacity. this needs much work!
26 January 2015
The words at the top and bottom (right side) seem to be cut away at an angle making it hard to read the last words in ether the first or last sentence of the page.
25 January 2015
pretty good but I wish there was a bigger selection of books for children
24 January 2015
Very good, but the "Read aloud" needs work. Mostly with pronouncing foreign names.

There isn't a reader that comes even close to what is offered here on windows 8.1. It is a gorgeous app, incredibly stable, much quicker than the typical sluggish windows apps and easy to use. And all of this is freely-offered. If hard-pressed, I'd say the only issue is the app simply fails to resize its window so you can read a whole page if you want to use 2 apps simultaneously. And the lack of an android app means I can't sync my reading and have to use another app on my phone. But otherwise, fantastic app!
19 January 2015
I have used on my Windows Phone. It is excellent.
But, I installed on my Windows 8.1 today. It is the best!
I bought all premium features.
My books are synchronized on cloud and I can read on my Windows Phone or my desktop with Windows 8.1 and 24 inches, it is very nice!
I can add highlight, I can search a word in internet, I can translate.
I recommend for everyone.
9 January 2015
Pls add options to 1) import books from folder 2) Read 3)Full Screen
4 January 2015
cannot change the font - selection froze on Niagara Engraved and collapses the program

This app is simply phenomenal and worth every penny to unlock everything. There is no other reader that is as silky smooth to use, is wthis beautifully designed, has this many options, and syncs smoothly between phone and tablet as Bookviser. I used it a bit before the huge overhaul and it wasn't as good as what I had before but now it is ready to take it's well deserved place as the best reader available. I rarely give out a full dive stars but the team behind this app earned it.

Very Nice, syncs with no issues.
20 December 2014
excelente en WP 8.1 no así en la versión de escritorio que no inicia
8 December 2014
It has changed me from audio to text

I've been using this app since windows phone 7. I greatly appreciate the support for the windows ecosystem. I do think this app could benefit from a few more features. Digital stylus support would be wonderful. I would also love to see page synchronization and support for PDF. I think these things would push this app into a better class.

nice

The developers should be ashamed of themselves.
