Football Gameplan Manager is a coaching assistance application designed to replace the gameday call sheet. With Football Gameplan Manager, you can easily create game plans for your playbook, organizing plays by whatever category you like - packages, down & distance, opening script - you name it! Football Gameplan Manager comes pre-populated with a number of offensive and defensive formations & plays and easily allows you to create your own. In Football Gameplan Manager, you can:
1. Create A Formation
Here you can create an offensive or defensive formation which are organized into groups of base formations for easy navigation. On the edit screen, you can move players around or hold-tap on them to change the player label / name, plus load an opposing formation to help set alignments by swiping down.
2. Create A Play
Create an offensive or defensive play by selecting the formation and setting a name unique to that formation. On the play editing screen, you can free hand draw routes & notes. Swipe from the top and you can load an opposing formation, flip the scene, change the route color / width / opacity, undo a route or clear the screen. From the top menu, you can also set 'tags' which are descriptions that can be used to help search for plays, such as direction, personnel groupings, run vs pass - the choices are up to you! Plus, you can save the play as something other than what you first specified, making it easy to draw up a play, save it, load it back up, flip the play and then save the play in the opposite direction under a different name!
3. Create A Gameplan
No need to write up spreadsheets game after game! Here you can create a gameplan by giving it a name and on the next screen, add tables of various sizes for your play groupings ( 1 column tables, 2 column tables aligned side by side or top down, or 2 column grid style tables ). When adding a table, you can fill in each header as you choose, then add plays to the various sections as desired! And of course, just like individual plays, gameplans support 'tags' to help searching for a particular gameplan.
4. Edit Formation, Play, Gameplan
Of course, you can change or remove any existing a play, formation, or gameplan.
5. Execute Gameplan / Load Gameplan Log
On this screen, you can load a created gameplan, view all the tables, and record the order of plays called and whether they were successful ( the green counter ) or not ( the red counter ). Clicking on a header will minimize that table and clicking on it again will restore it. Clicking on a play in a table will bring up a play view where that you can illustrate on without worrying about making unwanted changes to the original play. Swiping from the bottom brings up the option to show the play log so you have a running list of the plays you have been calling and of course, you can save a log for review or to resume gameplan execution at a later time ( isuch as after halftime ).
6. Export / Import Formations, Plays, and Gameplans
Choose formations, plays, or gameplans to share with you other coaches or players! And no need to worry about what all needs to be exported to share your content, as the app takes care of that for you. For example, if you export a gameplan, all formation and play data is automatically exported with it, making it easy to share information among your staff. Importing is as simply as selecting the files shared to you and in the event something already exists, choose whether to overwrite with the new data or keep the old data. Plus, from the home screen, you can swipe from the right to pulling up the settings and either backup or restore all files, quickly and easily. ( Warning: restoration of a backup removes all current data. If you wish to keep certain data before restoring the older data, be sure to export that data first, then import it back in after the restoration. )
