There should be a more efficient way to delete mail than by individually tagging each. There should be a tab that says empty (?). How do you adjusts or change settings on the Surface Laptop for gmail?

Annoyingly slow to refresh or change screens. Ugh... it's faster to use Gmail in the browser.

Where to begin? This app lacks most basic email functionality, it is painfully slow, the functions that are there are painfully implemented. What I would like instead? Try TYPE MAIL as implemented on Android smart phones.

The App is slow to load emails. I also cannot open/download attachments from within the app emails. Not sure if this is GMAIL or Win8.

The program's base feature of filling the inbox and composing new mail, are probably the only features that work properly. No switching between accounts, can't view other tabs and only locked on the primary tab, can't crew other folders, links don't work within the program, if you want links, they are difficult to copy, sometimes unresponsive and overall more trouble than it's worth. I experimented and was able to add my Gmail account to the mail program that comes with the system, but would have much rather kept my Gmail separate from my windows (Hotmail) accounts. Over all, a terrible program!

Maybe you could hire someone from Yahoo staff to help you make more user friendly apps for e-mail, It seems that the designers tried to make things so simple, but they left out simple everyday needs. Here's an idea: allow a slide-link or button for google calendar!

This program works about 1/2 of the time. The folders on the right (trash, sent, deleted) have disappeared and you can't empty the trash. Worked well for awhile, then went quirky. Better off getting you mail through Chrome.

I don't think this app is done but yet it is out there to frustrate people.

This works beautifully. I'm looking at all the bad reviews, and all everyone is saying is that the screen doesn't show, it freezes, it doesn't load properly, and it's full of bugs and malware. However, for me this is not quite the case. It works absolutely perfect for me, and now I uninstalled the default mail program that runs with Win 8.1 Thank you for making an app that runs just like the real Google Mail!

The only thing this is good for is the onscreen notifications for when you get mail. And even that sometimes doesn't work.

I CAN LOG IN THROUGH THE INTERNET AND OPEN ATTACHED FILES TO MY MAIL, BUT IF I GO IN THROUGH THE GMAIL TOUCH I AM UNABLE TO OPEN ANY ATTACHED FILES. PLEASE FIX. UNTIL THEN I WILL HAVE TO GO IN THROUGH THE WEB. I WOULD RATE IT A 5 STAR IF THIS IS FIXED. THANKS

I'm a Google junkie. This app misses the mark in several respects. User interface is not well executed. Touch screen use is severely hindered. Web based GMail is significantly better. It seems like this app (and quite frankly, all apps for Windows 8.X) are afterthoughts and not well-designed. The only benefit is that the tile displays new emails --- however, new emails are also displayed when you are at your home screen on windows 8.xx. Accordingly, there really is no benefit to this app..

I think its good. I've seen a lot of people that say it doesn't work, or they hate the creators. I actually like this app. It lags only a tiny bit, but it is a great way to get to my inbox and get notifications without having to go online and check by signing in. Not the best app, but a 4 star is fair rating.

I guess that my first clue should have been the reference to Justin Bieber on the app's page in the Windows Store, but I didn't see it until later. This app is clunky, and doesn't do basic things that I want or expect it to do. For example, it will not let me select any folder other than my main folder, so if I wished to go to 'social' or 'promotions,' too bad. Further, parts of the display kept disappearing and not coming back until I would hit the home key. Not impressed, and will be deleting this app as soon as I have finished this review.
