Great recipe and cooking app. Search could be improved though.

Good app with great visual layout and a nice way of explaining how recipes are put together. Dig it!

Worth the 9.99 price given the content.

all in all is a good app, good variety of recipes, search works great and nice to have the filters... but not sure why I'd pay $10 for this when I have Epicurious and AllRecipes.

I thought that this app was very interesting, especially the "How To" section, for a beginner level cook. It would be nice to have a way to add recipes. I couldn't find a way to access the grocery list (make it more user friendly or visible).

Recipes plus shopping list integration. The notation of which recipe the ingredients came from is nice.

I liked the "How to cook everything' book. The recipes, ingredients and 'How-to' steps have been arranged and explained to make easy reading.

I liked the interface and layout is easy to follow..the diagrams showing culinary techniques are very nice. Suggest providing links to curated video content for the recipes from YouTube or other sources..

This is an OK app since it provides the basic recipes and tips on how to cook different meals but feel it could use a lot more interactivity and better visuals if you were going to purchase it for $6.99. They do not have nutrition facts, which are important to a lot of consumers who are looking to track caloric intake. Videos on "how to" cooking tips would be extremely useful since a lot of the tips were text heavy. If visuals and interactivity were greatly improved, I would potentially purchase this in the future.

the content is fantastic. I have several Bittman books and love them. Excited to have the content on my device. Would love a cleaner layout for a larger screen/format. Add a place to add feedback on recipes from users. so, we can create community.

Have been using the hardcover "How to Cook Everything" for over 10 years now and love it. It is a really good and clearly-written cookbook that is suitable for cooks of all levels, though it is by its nature not a specialty cookbook; look elsewhere for that. The app is easy to navigate, didn't crash, has content that updates, and is cheaper than the book. What's not to like?
