I have been impatiently waiting for Pocket to produce a Windows 8.1 app for my Surface 2. Pocket is one of my most often used apps on my iPad. This Latermark app does not have the full refined qualities of the Pocket for iOS 5.1 app, but it works nicely and I am very glad to have found it. I am giving it 5 stars, not because it is perfect, but to show my gratitude for the work that has been done. I hope that the developer continues to polish Latermark, since it may be a very long wait for Pocket to come aboard with its own Windows modern app.

App covers most of the Pocket features you are likely to want. However the app is just cumbersome. For example, for offline use I have to tell it to download the files manually. This means I have to share, then I have to go to the app and instruct it to download for offline reading. When I do I'm not able to continue my work as downloading happens in the foreground. The user interface feels like something from the "old world" of computing. It is functional but ugly.

Today I've discovered the last two "must have" apps to allow me to replace my old Android tablet with a Windows tablet: Flipboard and Latermark. I've been reliant on Pocket for a couple of years, and kept waiting for a Win8 version. I'm so pleased to find Latermark, which does all that I need from Pocket, including (most importantly) offline reading. Thank you! Update - the latest version really smoothed out the interface, especially updating articles. I no longer feel any need for the official Pocket app on WinRT at all. Nice job!

I am so happy to have found Latermark! It works seamlessly with Pocket on other platforms and I couldn't be happier. Personally I save articles and images the most, so the omission of saving audio and video doesn't bother me in the least, although it might some people. I do wish it worked a bit snappier when saving something though. instead of seeing the link I am saving after selecting Latermark from the Share Charm. I wish it would just tell me it was saved.

Its a great app since I think it is the only Pocket client in the store right now. It does the job but there are several things missing, if in the future it gets updated with any of these features then I'll update my review. On the other hand I love that it displays how many read & unread articles I have unlike the official app.

Definitely a welcomed application and good Pocket client. However, Latermark currently fails to remove articles read on other devices (in my case Nexus 7 using the official Pocket application).

It shells out to Internet Explorer to actually read anything. They've introduced proactive downloading -- which is good -- but it fails on about 20% of the articles I've saved to Pocket.

This was one of the first apps I downloaded when I got my surface and I'm very happy with it. It allows me to go through my bookmarks in a nice list view and tagging is easy. I haven't yet saved anything to Pocket from my surface, so no comment there. Only key feature that would be useful that is either missing or I can't figure out is searching by tags. I have to scroll through the list myself and look at the tags I'm looking for, which takes a bit since I have over 50 bookmarks at the moment. Looking forward to seeing the app developed further.

Works perfectly...Only 2 small areas where it could be improved. First, included a way to sort by length of articles and include word count for each. Second, add a design for when articles don't produce an image...a black circle just makes it too easy to skip over. Maybe a random colored circle or some other unique design. Thanks for your work!

Works great. Two hints. 1) There are settings for margins, color, downloading articles, and more in the settings charm. Took me a while to find it (which is Microsoft's fault, not the developer's). 2) There's an overly-discrete arrow for showing/hiding your article list. Again, it took me a while to find it, but I was much happier once I did.

I didn't use this app so often because the UI wasn't really up to par in my opinion. The brand new version is so much better! This app really feels great and has the looks to match its functionality. I paid for the ad-free option and even gave a little extra to the dev for such good work. Keep it coming!

I've used Pouch for a while and while I like it a lot, Latermark fills features that Pouch doesn't have. Love the ability to listen to articles! The app can be awkward and doesn't respond well at times. Has awesome potential. Would love to see on Windows Phone.

I love the elegant simplicity of Pocket, especially the way it seamlessly syncs across all my devices: PC, iPhone, etc. After getting my Windows tablet, I was disappointed to learn that there was no Pocket app. So while I was glad to find Latermark, I soon discovered that it's surprisingly functional but unrefined. I would have ranked this a solid 3 stars and happily raised it with further improvements. BUT... I have to give it 2 stars for one reason. I don't know when it happened, but now there's a very intrusive, ugly ad bar that wastes so much screen area that I am thinking of giving up on this app. It makes portrait reading so unpleasant since it squeezes the already-narrow reading width down further. Get rid of the ads (or at least place it more elegantly and out of the way) and take a lesson in app design from the iOS Pocket app. I look forward to the improvements!

Really great app with all the core functionality you need to make the most of pocket on your win8 device. Loving it and so happy i found it.

Downloads for offline reading, but not automatically. It would be nice if it did that. Great free app.

great substitution for pocket. But i cant read wsj articles in read mode there. and why every article i open starts from the bottom?

I'd love to see article titles, instead I see only URLs. Would be nice if that list of URLs were a Metro-esque collection of squares with images.

Just needs to download articles for reading offline.

Needs some touch ups but it's promising overall. Plenty of theme options for free unlike Poki.

The App Works very well.

Whenever I try to log in, I get stuck at the "Connecting to a service..." screen. I cannot log in with my Pocket username and password. Any help would be appreciated.

The app UI is great. But it's buggy in offline downloading and the support email is broken and fails in delivery. Please fix it!

Why doesn't it default to new items? Instead, it always shows my archive. I would pay to upgrade this app if this didn't persist.

User interface needs improvements

Says connecting to a service then hangs on there if I try to Login it says server error Except of that I knew pocket was an awesome app, I used on my android

The design is great, I would definitely pay if I knew the program didn't have any key bugs. Here they are: no options to download/save articles automatically an view online, sometimes doesn't load any articles. Most of the issues probably lie in their syncing practices... fixing this will convince me to buy!

After syncing the app with Pocket the correct articles appear/disappear but the counts for them do not update.

It looks nice and seems to operate well. My only issue I've encountered is for some reason there is a black bar of unused space on the right side in both portrait mode and landscape. Reading the twitter feed, seems it is the ad space.

Works across all my devices.
