Not bad, but doesn't respect aspect ratios whatsoever.

lt doesn't perform its function at all, you are better off using the website directly. lt is slow and full of errors and constantly crashing. You also can't view gifs like you are supposed to

This is, so far, the most functional Windows8 tumblr app BUT... dashboard gif support or some sort of gif identification is needed. dashboard photo aspect ratio needs fixing. I get what you were trying to do, but the stretch to fit thing doesn't work. Then, the still image zooming??? just stop and allow for a full screen view.

It's been about half a year since I've been using this app- so far I don't see a better Tumblr app for Win 8.1 platform. However I must warn you that the dev doesn't seem to be updating this app all that much, and it's rather crash-tastic - I've lost more than a few wall of text I was about to post due to a random crash...

Every time you try and do any kind of posting whatsoever (reblogs, new posts, etc), it "has experienced an error" and cannot continue. So if you want to just look at tumblr and not use it as a blogging platform, then yeah, go for the install, but if you want to blog/reblog stuff then just go to the webpage. No one can seem to get this service right in app form. Useless.

Rather than display photos in native resolution, it does some stupid square and zoom thing. Totally awful.

The app is laid out nicely, and moves quickly and uses a lot of the screen, which are its pros. But its handling of photos is really awful. It commits three cardinal sins here: 1. It stretches the photo to fit a square shape, no matter what the original image. So they look awful. This wouldn't be quite as bad if it weren't for... 2. You can't tap the image to make it go full-screen, so it's stuck permanently in a relatively small box. 3. If it's a static image, it constantly zooms in and out of the image, presumably to make the app look more "fun" and "dynamic." But all this does is ensure you see even LESS of the misshapen image half the time, and makes the many text-based images unreadable. And clicking/tapping it doesn't stop it. With these three items fixed, we might be somewhere. Until then, meh.

When you login, it just loads your dashboard in a little box. Rather disappointing. :/

I have installed this app a couple of times now and am going to delete again simply for the fact that when I try to set up share options for FB I get an error that states that this application has been disabled or is no longer available. And yes, avatars and photos are blurry and that doesn't look good. I'll just use the web browser. The sad part is, is that Tumblr is a far better social platform when it comes to all the different types of content that can be shared than FB, G+, Twitter, Pinterest, etc... Disappointing that Tumblr themselves haven't come out with an app yet and these foolios that are creating these apps for Tumblr have no idea how the layout should be. I'll wait for the official app, thanks for trying I guess.
