This is the easiest movie creator app I've used. It's not like I can't use others but this makes it easy enough to make me want to use it often. Here's what I want for improvements
1. Add footage from skydiver or whatever my sources (even the internet)
2. Customizable mix options
3. Add my own music
Hoping to see these improvements before I rate it a 5.
Again, like the app!

Interface and design of this app is cool and somewhat user-friendly. Definitely needs some fine tuning. My suggestions:
- Add an option to display video names and/or list the video names out like you'd see in windows 7.
- Instead of transferring files into the 'Videos' folder on your PC, allow for a file drop in for vids/pics (i.e. like on Dropbox you can drag files onto the screen)
- As another reviewer had mentioned, allow for more songs and also video overlap feature.
- Need easy right-click (or easier method) to edit any files already on the main roll.
Gave it 2 stars because the design Is cool, but it was already getting frustrating to work with after 10 min. Has good potential, I'll re-rate if any updates come about, or an improved version comes out of beta.

Great app. It created the video I needed but now I can't send it or SHARE it. How can I save it to a jump drive or change the file extension?
15 November 2014
Works perfectly on my SP3 and on my Lumia as well. Easy to use and edits capability are great....
17 June 2015
I love this program! Really easy to use for short projects. I only wish we could add more than one audio and allow them to over lap as well as trim. I also do a lot of subbing for my videos so it would really help if their was another option for captions with its own time line instead of duplicating the picture just to change the subtitles. Four stars but with up grade an easy Five star.
16 November 2014
I cannot access any of my videos. I get the oops... there was an error. Please try again. Unusable!
21 March 2015
It's great and easy to use but could be better. Doesn't allow you to trim songs or choose start time. Only allows 25 scenes in 1 movie so you need to be creative and connect multiple movies. And only searches for videos or pics in a specific folder. Sometimes doesn't locate any videos
14 November 2014
Cant add Footage. Shows "Oops..there was an error, please try again" on all video, photos and location. 14/11/2014
14 November 2014
Cannot choose where it pulls your videos or photos from, no OneDrive integration. I could not start a video because I do not store the majority of my photos locally, and the ones I do store locally it could not find
14 November 2014
It is currently in beta, but would love feature parity with iMovie. Needs tons of new transitions, the ability to move captions around, more fonts, tweak audio levels (audio sliders) and edit the colors. Needs greenscreen ability and the ability to create photo slideshows. Current themes are good, but need iMovie-like themes such as news, filmstrip, scrapbook, comic book, adventure etc. The themes on iMovie are better with specialized captions with great colors and fonts. Would like lens flare, kens burns, and other special effects.
1 July 2015
It deleted my work 12 times and did not let me add footage or video and was a total mess and not thought through at all. DO NOT GET IT
25 February 2015
Omg. I can 't even put a title or any captions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
7 May 2015
An user of movie maker finds that this app will not let you cut frames out of a clip is very disappointing. Cutting at the front and end just is not enough to make quality home movies that you will be proud to show
28 March 2015
Might be better if it didn't search ALL my videos.... or if it would at least give you the option to see them in their folders, they're everywhere and out of order. And it takes forever for it to find them.... other then that im happy when i can finally finish a video.
4 January 2015
I love this app very fun and simple
15 November 2014
Its pretty good for a basic editor, it already has plenty of options being a Beta Version. It's great for small clips, stiches high res real quick on my SP3 i3. I checked it from a video I had previously made from a Lumia 920 (17 seconds) . Although I'd love to have more options i.e; when and when not I'd like a text. At least 2 layers should be fine for the user to have an option of inserting audio or text; like the Adobe Premiere. And not pressuring the app too much. For an on the go app, it has a very good start.
8 May 2015
a fun toy or for a beginner
14 January 2015
Besides it being beta this is great. I cant wait to see how fat they go with this.
1 January 2015
When I try to do the first step, which is to add footage to the movie, all I get is a row of dots moving across the screen. Doesn't matter whether I ask it to look for photos or for videos.
18 November 2014
Easy to use
18 November 2014
This is a nice tool, I used it on my phone and easily and quickly stitched 3 videos together with music. It’s also really nice that the PC has the exact same interface.
Some things that would be nice to have in the future:
• OneDrive integration
• Slow motion
• Video splitting
5 stars if these 3 things can get added in.
15 November 2014
This is a good start for a long overdue app in the Windows ecosystem. Some improvements would be a speed option to slow down a clip, start and end points for the captions as well as start and end points for the music. Others like kaleidoscope and similar options(mirror, side by side video) would be nice too. Been hoping for a Windows Movie Maker upgrade for a few years, this may fill that void.
2 July 2015
Easy to use, love the setup however always freezes when time to watch/ stich the work together. It finally made it all the way through and I hit save but my video cant be found anywhere.
9 June 2015
I searched the app store for about an hour trying to find an app like this one! I have created six movies so far and they are great. This app lets you add videos and pictures to a template (if you choose), and then you can edit each item to your desire. For videos, you can add filters, trim, add captions, rotate, and even adjust the speed/volume on certain parts. For photos you can add filters, change the duration, pan & zoom, and even rotate it. There isn't any cool transitions, or the ability to add your own music, but this app hasn't become a problem for me and there aren't any adds! This isn't iMovie, but overall, I think this app will fit your needs as it has mine.
11 April 2015
I don't have any problems with it at all! :)
31 December 2014
It can't find images and videos on My Surface pro 3... Surface is microsoft!?
23 December 2014
I have been looking for months for an app that will edit movies, (not just the lame ones that cut one clip and you can't put them together.) I used to edit videos on my old android phone with an app called viva video. With that app, it made a water mark and would only let you save up to five minutes, no more. It made uploading and creating videos for my YouTube channel a challenge. I now have a windows phone and windows surface. I have yet to make a full video, but this app seems very user friendly, and hopefully it wont have the same limitations as viva video. So far, it seems to have more features, songs and quality than the previous app. I will come back and rate again once I start making full videos. Thank you for making a good app! Please keep improving it, as this is hands down the most pleasant app I have used for video on the surface.
28 November 2014
I think this is a really good app, better than iMovie in fact!
18 November 2014
This app is just incredible, I simply love it.
18 November 2014
Nice idea but worthless as one other reviewer said, if you can't access media files that are not in the local videos/photos folder. I realize this is a beta, but I and many others I'm sure use external storage (OneDrive) for media files. Microsoft..are you listening? This would be a quick and easy fix and people like could actually test this beta for you and give some positive feedback!! And I'm saying the magic word "Please."
