This app works great! It will download cover art and information about a TV show or movie. A great help in organizing a digital media collection. Only downside is that it won't work with files stored in the cloud so you have to have them on your computer. Highly recommended!

This app was exactly what I was looking for, the only problem, most, if not all, of the Media Server/Players that I have don't look for embedded meta-data... Could you add an option to the app to, not only save the embedded meta data, but to also save the meta-data as a .jpg & .txt (or XBMC) file??? Hopefully, shouldn't be too difficult- you already have the data?? PLEASE... This also might solve the problems other people are having with unsupported video file formats (by saving it separately, you don't have to support all the other formats)... Think about it!!! Thanks again for writing such a great program...

Worked for a day then quit. No reply from support. Forum is a joke.
Just glad I didn't spend a lot of money on it.

The app only allows you to change the metadata shown in the first screen. Cannot change most of the meta data I'd like to more easily edit like time and location.

I use iTunes with my Apple TV. I have never found a program that can add all the Intel to the movie clip and have it show up in iTunes. the inlet isn't in a database your PC its in the File! the best

Would be a five star, but the paste isn't working, at least on my pc. Besides that, works the best. All that I could find before was Metax, but it's dead. Thanks a million.

This app works perfectly and exactly what I need it for. It, unfortunately, does not support file formats other than MP4 (at least not that I've had on my PC) which is fine since I have to convert files from AVI and MKV to MP4 in order to stream to Chromecast from Allcast on my many Android devices. I definitely recommend this app to anyone who wants to add specific information and actual cover art to movies and TV shows on your computer.

Tried tagging a TV show. It found the show after taking out the show title. Have to find image file outside the app but it allows you to copy paste it in. However, the cover art was not displayed in any video app, just a screen grab. Tried saving in Windows 8 format and iTunes format. Neither displayed the artwork in external video app. Needs work but my trial expires in a few hours...

App only allows you to LOAD one file at a time. It will not "scan" movies, then have you approve changes like Media Monkey Desktop App does. Media Monkey is free, is much more powerful, and will organize all files, not just a few formats! Waste of time and download. "Free" trial is only ONE day!

I needed to update the metadata (particularly the thumbnail image) for some of my movies, and it all worked GREAT! Love the bulk auto tagging features - really easy to use.

MyMeta is a fantastic app. Autotag is beautiful. I ran autotag on about 400 videos, and had maybe a 2% failure rate in either matching the video or corrupting the video. No sweat, because the manual entry worked just fine for that 2%. I would highly recommend to anyone and it is well worth the minimal cost.

Did just what I needed it to and was easy to use.

Does exactly what it says. Very simple.

I have to say this is a really great program but there is one real critical flaw. It does tag videos very well and it is super easy to use. It is doing something to my files that renders them unplayable on my XBOX-360. I will have to stick with Atomic Parsley for now until I can figure out what is happening. The devs did a great job putting this together but the Xbox issue is a show killer. Test a movie on your Xbox 360 before you do a bunch of editing. Thankfully I had backups.

I randomly stumbled upon this, and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! Worked great, found metadata for like 90% of my movies automatically, and 9% I did one by one using the search feature. That last 1% was stuff that's not in any database, so that's fine with me! Worked great in Explorer, Xbox Movies, and Media Monkey!

Nice user interface and good functionality. It needs to get a bit faster. Other than that its great! I haven't tried it with WMV, MKV or AVI. It works very well with the mp4/m4v format.
21 February 2013
It really is a great little app, just needs to be able to read more files.
15 January 2013
It started rendering the modified files unplayable.
I was able to organize my collection in a roundabout way: I'd use Zune to tag the date, description, and episode title, but it wouldn't carry the season/episode over to Xbox Video. Then I'd load MyMeta, update that information in there, and bam! Xbox Video would get it.
However, as of this morning, any new file I attempt to modify becomes unplayable--both Xbox Video and Zune both report that the file format is not supported. Weird.

This app would allow me to have my movie collection perfectly organized. The only problem is that the majority of my movies are either in AVI or WMV format. Though I see the value of this app, I simply cannot rate it any higher due to it's lack of format support.
If it could eventually include music as well, that would be cool.
28 December 2012
Helpful but for me it is missing a key feature.. Most of us will have their movies in separate folders and when you have a lot of movies, it just takes way to long to manually add them to the cue.. It needs a directory/sub-directory scanning feature

I like this App.
Love to see work with WMV

IF I WAS USING A MAC! If is see one more app that does things such as search iTunes for iPad apps, tips for ipads, Tec, I'm going to puke. This is Windows RT, make the apps relevant to the Surface! The way this program tags videos, is in no way in compliance with Xbox Video...so what good does that do us????
Update : after talking to the dev, I owe an apology. He seems to be working his hardest to crack the insane way Microsoft is using to "tag" video files.
