Comments for TouchMe Gesture Studio

This is the first app that I've ever been compelled to write a review of. The app is darn good. In fact, it's exceptional. I recently purchased a Surface Pro 3, and TouchMe transforms a decent touch experience into something great. Whether you're web browsing, listening to music, or looking to quickly switch between apps, there's a gesture you can associate with it. Well worth my $5.

This just made my Windows 8.1 experience even better. Having all these gestures makes using my SP2 without my type cover so much easier to use. After about 5 minutes of use I bought the license Great job on this app!

I absolutely love it! This provides functionality that should have been native to the Surface Pro. The dev is super helpful and responsive - he personally helped me solve a problem using the software with OneNote. Highly recommended!

This app is by far the best app I have yet acquired for my Surface Pro 2. It works great without any problems and allows me to take fuller control of my device. I recommend it to everyone. Gesture control is the future for these devices and this is the app for the future.

I cannot recommend this app enough. It is totally, totally worth 5 bucks!

I've been using it since beta and it hasn't disappointed yet. Microsoft really needs to take cues from this man.

It's impressive to see something like this created for Win81. It's a little depressing because when MS claimed Win81 was designed for tablets, I thought it had this sort of capability in it already. My initial testing didn't work out very well. Eventually I had to downgrade the software. Pros: Lets you configure gestures that the engine provides. Cons: The studio is functionless without the engine. Studio can only configure the non-free engine The engine is NOT free. 32 day trial on the engine. Must pay for the engine outside of the MS Store Many gestures do not to work or are not reliable or have bad side effects, Little or no real documentation available Cannot bypass intro video Support is via email only, (from a single person only?) does not seem like the engine is still being fixed Many gestures have side effects because windows8 sees the gesture and also responds to it along with the engine. So most of the time it's sort of an unwanted "2 for 1 special"

This app really enhances the capabilities of a touch screen. Even for just browsing the internet, you should be using this.

This app completes the surface experience. Before installing the surface was a good device but not great. This app transforms the surface's windows 8 tablet experience. Now you can conjure up the keyboard with a swipe, use gestures to navigate the web, and so much more. Say goodbye to the annoyances of the windows virtual keyboard in desktop mode. Microsoft should really consider buying this technology and implementing it by default into windows 9. DEVELOPER... PLEASE UPDATE GESTURE STUDIO WITH PROFESSIONALLY LABLED HELP BUTTON AND AN OPTION TO SKIP PAST THE INTRO VIDEO

This app will make your device much more productive than the original OS could give you.

This app is exactly what I was looking for to get the most out of my new touchscreen laptop. The ability to write your own custom gestures truly lets me increase my productivity. I messaged the developer with a minor issue I was having and he responded immediately with a very detailed and helpful response. Can't remember the last time I had such a great experience with support on an application. Definitely give this a try!

This app should have been part of Windows 8 from the beginning. You will not find an app that provides as much flexibility to Windows 8.1 at all. This app allows you to add gesture based touch interface to your desktop or start menu. YOU NEED THIS APP!!! And I'm still in love with this app

It took me less than 5 minutes to setup a series of custom touch gestures that I can use across any app installed on my computer. It's very well done - glad that I found it.

This is intensely rude and user-hostile. Auto-playing a video without user permission is bad but having no way to stop or exit it until it finally ends is unforgivable. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

35 day trial then asks you for 4.99 lame. 1 star for capitalism. Live free or die.

Unlike Microsoft, the developer of this app has actually tried to use the touch interface that comes with Windows 8. This app comes with a set of intuitive gestures that make Windows 8 much easier to use and it also offers customizability.

I really do not purchase that much apps in the store, but this program is very useful. Didn't realize how useful touch was until I found this beauty of a program.

This is what the surface was missing and takes it over the top, way way over the top. I mostly edit images in lightroom and using this can now pretend to be Tom Cruise in Minority Report. ;) I have setup gestures for almost every shortcut I need in Lightroom and can edit without using a mouse, keyboard, or even the pen. A+++++

I am much more productive with this app when I use my Surface Pro 2 without the keyboard. The app really increases the fun factor and usability of a tablet running Windows 8. I have reassigned my gestures to match those present on my jailbroken iPhone. Excellent application.

I was tricked into coming into the store, but since I'm here, I may as well show my never-ending devotion to this. This is the sort of practicality that Windows Apps need. They can make improvements like opening up certain apps with gestures or making the windows key work, but hey, can't please everyone!

What doesn't MS understand about the word "Multi-touch"?! Well, this app recognizes that yes, we humans have five fingers. 5-finger pinch to close, two finger swipe left or right to switch tabs, etc. All user configurable, including shortcut keys. Once configured, app runs in the taskbar. Pretty lightweight, only about 30MB RAM usage, no CPU utilization. Have not noticed any stabilization issues. Try it out for yourself!

Nice!!! I will buy it after 30 days.

Love this app/engine. Makes Windows 8.1 so much more friendly. Most of the prebuilt gestures work great, I changed some (I use 3 finger rotations for volume control, and 4 finger rotations for brightness).

This is by far the greatest app ever! The interaction you can do with the surface accompany the touch mode wonderfully to bring shortcuts to your fingers! I feel like a boss rotating 3 fingers to adjust the volume as if I was using a knob

This app is literally the difference between this tablet being pleasant to use and a pain in my rump. Please, take all my stars, you deserve every last one. (I used a gesture from this app to hide the keyboard after writing this because it didn't go away when I clicked off of this text field. Boom.)

Great compliment to my Surface Pro 3. Makes the touch interface with the SP3 better than an iPad. Great App. @gr8er1

Even though this start up command appears in the windows start up, it will not start the application, and I cannot find a way to upgrade to the newest program, that suppose to have fixed this bug, when I manually start the program from it's own folder, it seems to work pretty god. The developer had no business in charging for this app until this type of bug is resolved.

A super super useful app. The developer responded to my brightness issue quickly....like really really quickly. I am very happy with this app.

TouchMe Gesture Studio is truly an amazing app!! It makes using my already awesome Dell Venue Pro 8 so much easier! The preset gestures are just what I needed and I love having the freedom to customize them as I see fit! It improves my interaction with my touchscreen daily! :) Great work!
