It doesn't load anything. It keeps the subjects that I've created, but gets stuck in a constantly loading state whenever I try to enter a subject. The web version and my android app work great. It's unfortunate because I'd really like to able to work on it when I don't have internet, then have it sync back up when I'm on WiFi. Using Windows 8.1

Sorry, I am a paying user, but this Windows 8 app is not usable. It won't even load my cards, once I enter a board. Got stuck in an infinite loop in the account login window, while behind it, I was already logged in. I will stick with the web interface. Very sorry to have this experience, Trello is a great product. You need to put this app in Trello and start squashing these bugs.

I LOVE Trello! I hate this app! Why is everything all white? And why are all of the options and menus hidden? Why does Trello look different on my home PC (the white sucky version) than it does on my office computer (the blue familiar version. Both are running windows 8.1. If you want to maintain fluidity across platforms then they should all look and feel the same. Once again I love Trello and I hate this app!

This app is difficult to use and sometimes counterintuitive. Very confusing to add another list or a checklist, very confusing to archive and delete cards and objects. My advice is to just use the website. Everything on the site is laid out in a much more intuitive way and allows for quick workflow.
21 July 2015
AVG removed Trello.exe and I couldn't use Trello.
15 July 2015
I use Trello on my Browser and on my mobile devices, the advantages being that I still have access to Trello offline on my devices. I hoped for the same with the Win8 app but unfortunately, other than viewing my lists, I can't do anything else without it falling apart.
Any editing to my board (e.g. adding a list, adding a card , editing card details) is usually not registered and, in some cases, causes the app to crash. I strongly suspect it's a syncing issue as I do not have this issue with the Android variant. I sincerely hope they fix this issue as it's more convenient to use the app and not clutter my desktop. It's UI is also decently set up although they need to make the List editing features more apparent. Currently, you need to Zoom out to do so and I only figured that out by chance.
In a nutshell, decent UI. UX is awful. I'll still be opening this app quite frequently to see if it is fixed so this review may be changed in the future.

Just disappointing
29 June 2015
It works well, but only seems to work when the tablet/computer is online, connected to the Internet.
13 June 2015
It is unfortunate that this made-for-Windows-8 app has so many limitations; I find myself simply pulling up the website in a browser because it works much better. For instance, although you can view checklists that have already been added to a card, you cannot add new items to a checklist, you cannot reorder or rename items on a checklist (or the checklists themselves), and although a function exists to add new checklists to a card (whole checklists, not the actual items you need to complete on the checklist :/ ), the behavior is extremely buggy, and when I load Trello in a web browser I typically find duplicate lists.
Checklists are a key piece of Trello, but not the only piece; their utter failure to get this component correct seems to be indicative of the app in general. Honestly, I would rather not have an official app at all than have this half-baked imitation which promises convenience but really only produces frustration.
10 June 2015
The "sync" does not appear to work well, and does not update all information (I am still listed on the main screen as my original Trello-assigned user name, but the new one shows up in the lists).
I love the product, and would love a good Windows touch application. Please keep working on it.
30 May 2015
Poorly made app. lacking many capabilities from the apps in other platforms. Trello, you can do better than this.
At least do allow users to edit their comments. make it on par with the web or other OS.
28 May 2015
I use Trello for everything, on my Windows 7 PC at work and my Nexus 5. I recently got a Surface Pro 3, and installed the Trello app... this version is barely functional. Basically, I can open cards. I can add new cards. Can't move them, often am able to highlight a button, but it doesn't do anything.
The Pen doesn't work at all, so left with the imprecision of my fingers. But basically....PLEASE fix this....I love this project planning tool!
27 May 2015
Trello is an incredible tool. The web version is quite powerful and the experience on an iPad or even an Android smart phone is beautiful. However, the Windows 8.1 app is incredibly lackluster. This app needs a major refresh.
25 May 2015
Looks good, but lacks some fundamental things related to list assignment and archiving. At the moment, not worth installing since the web app can can just be pinned as an application within windows.
23 May 2015
Not bad. Can't do everything the web app can, but hopefully updates keep coming. Good project management app.
28 April 2015
This is the worst version of Trello I have seen!
I use it on the Web and Love it, use it on my iPad and iPhone and God is beautiful!!
I saw it here on the Windows Store and I say great!! I have to download this thing! But... Sad deception, this version of Trello shows NO love at ALL for the Windows Platform it looks awful, I don't even test it out! I just saw the poorly design it is and shut it down instantly.
Very poor job Fog Creek....
I giving you two start just because is a Trello App
28 April 2015
On Android and iPad the app is well done. On Windows we are left wanting!
21 April 2015
Love that Trello is on Windows 8. There are issues with it. Please resolve and I gladly will bump up the rating. The one right now that is driving me nuts is that it doesn't remember re-ording in a single list. If you drag to another list and then back the order is remembered. @tomkrueger if need more details.
7 April 2015
Why doesn't this have a live tile and notifications? Seems pretty obvious for a trello app!
Also: Doesn't show attachments.
4 April 2015
Trello is an excellent product, which I use extensively on the web and android. However, the Win 8 application is poor at best. Any boards created on my standard login are not visible through the Win 8, even though the Win 8 app shows as authorized. The layout itself is rather poor, and missing much of Trello's functionality.
As is so often the case, a developer has fired out a Win 8 app, evidently with minimal effort, in order to tick off a box and state they have it available.
3 April 2015
Missing a lot of features: no editing checklists (convert to card), custom tags don't carry over, no stickers, no custom background, no mention dropdown auto-complete list. Looks a bit bland in comparison to the website. However, it is still much more touch friendly than the website so it is easy to browse my projects.
30 March 2015
I currently use Trello on my android phone and tablet, and my SO is using it on her iPhone and iPad. On both Android and iOS, Trello is a very polished, easy to understand and use app. The Windows 8.1 App variant, on the other hand, is unfinished. I applaud there even being a Windows 8.1 app, and the use of native Windows elements for touch UI is nice, but the design flair and basic touch functionality (like moving elements to a different card by long-touch-drag) are non-existent.
I appreciate that Trello made the app, but hopefully they will continue to work on it and refine it, especially with the advent of Windows 10 coming up and the by-default cross-platform compatibility with Windows 10 for phones and small tablets.
26 March 2015
The app should work offline, and then sync the data as soon as there is internet connectivity. It has no advantage over Trello's web UI right now.
21 March 2015
Initially, I was excited to have a Trello app for Windows 8; I love Trello! However, the board colors have been transformed to a drab grey with a blue border. Also, only the primary colors for labels are available so some of my cards only have half of the labels I assigned them. The checklists do not work, and I found myself rarely using the app until I finally uninstalled it today. Overall, the appearance is lacking and some key features have been removed making this app worthless.
19 March 2015
Very sad to see the Windows App is missing some pretty features...
Modifying/Adding/Deleting Lists isn't available (or if it is... I can't find it). Creating boards requires you pull up the bottom menu bar. Can't add checklists to cards... I'll just stick to bringing up the web app and showing that in full screen...
18 March 2015
Trello itself is absolutely awesome - in a web browser, or on my Android phone. But this Metro app on my Windows 8 laptop is absolutely worthless. It displays the splash screen with the Trello logo, then immediately disappears. I don't know if it's crashing or what, but it simply *will not* come up.
11 March 2015
Love trello on my pc. Great app for android phone. But I CANNOT move cards on my win8 tablet. Frustrated.
10 March 2015
I can't use the Win8 App because I need to create new lists and a bunch of other stuff. sticking with the web client for now
26 February 2015
The basics are there, for viewing boards and adding comments or cards.
It should support markdown and further customization.
24 February 2015
a little buggy, when I move cards between lists..thanks for supporting windows and windows phone. I have moved over from another system because you are supporting windows 8/phone.
cheers
