Best Windows 8 Apps
17 April 2015
It's still the best app for multiple accounts but new version has a bug that doesn't allow to unselect a Tweet with right-button or swiping.

Tweetro+ has been my Twitter app of choice for a while on WIndows 8 and 8.1, although it's been disappointing that it's not really seen any updates for a long time: in many ways it feels like abandonware. But it still works well on those platforms, so give it a shot if you're interested.
However, it crashes on launch on Windows 10, on two separate installs. Do not buy if you're running the technical preview.

I've tried most all the twitter apps. Most of them are lacking. I really like the layout and functionality of this. The one problem I have is there needs to be a font size adjustment. The text is to small. Also, allow For some theme adjustments then it'll be 5 stars.
6 July 2014
Its nice and stylish. But I like the basic one, better.
26 February 2014
That's about all I can say. They literally thought of everything.
3 February 2014
UPDATE 2 - Updating an old edit where I had knocked a couple of stars off. They fixed the issues with retweeting and deleting tweets. It's back to being an absolutely fantastic Twitter client! Added the two stars back that I had taken off.
Original - Even with a $10 fee, it's still the best Metro/Windows 8 native Twitter app out there. I do wish it was easier to switch active accounts while docked to the side, however. As it is, I have to slide it to full and then switch active accounts.
That's probably my biggest complaint right now. That and maybe being able to Tweet from more than one account at a time if need-be, but this is less of an issue than the account switching one.

sadly, author stopped adding features. Try Tweetium instead. Better support, frequent updates.
15 January 2014
Is there a way to schedule tweets? Given the cost there should be, but I can't seem to find it. It's a good app, but that's a huge drawback.

Really love this app, beautifully designed. The biggest selling point for me is tweet marker integration as I like to read all tweets in my timeline in order which is hard to do across multiple devices. Two things for me would bump this to 5 starts: 1) add option to change font size and 2) better high resolution screen support. I'm using a yoga 2 pro with 2K resolution and items on the home page of the app seem to be bunched up towards the top of the screen (in fairness most other apps seem to this too on this machine). Anyway, really dig the app. It's a shame about twitter's new rules because its great to see 3rd party development as good as this.
7 December 2013
Please update for windows 8.1 functions (snap 1/2, ...) and add more new features
5 December 2013
Ok app, but lots wasted space. Need ability to adjust font size.
25 November 2013
Good Windows 8 Twitter app
20 November 2013
Windows 3rd party twitter apps all seem to have issues. We don't have these issues on android
FIX THE APP! I paid 10 bucks for this POS
ALSO, WHY DOES THIS APP WANT TO TURN ON YOUR WEBCAM???????????
7 November 2013
Loads up, no touch response.
its not awful but for 10 it should be a lot more.
7 October 2013
Paid 10 bucks for this thing and it almost immediately messed up. Says it cannot connect to the twitter servers. Don't waste your money, you will be unsatisfied.
2 October 2013
Then updates started. Would like to be able to see which of my tweets have been retreated and favorites, etc. Please update this app.

7 September 2013
Does everything I want, couldn't be happier.
26 August 2013
I've gone through several Twitter apps and this is the best one overall. Wish it had additional features for maintaining list members.
12 July 2013
There are a lot of twitter apps on many platforms. I have used quite a few. This is one of the best. Really great Modern Windows app! I like it.

Tweetro+ is a great Twitter client, it is head and shoulders above the stock app provided by Microsoft. There are a few issues, it can get a little laggy when loading multiple items but some of that like default link load can be disabled. I would like a way to make the timeline the first column you see instead of my Twitter profile but that's minor. Overall a great Twitter app.
27 June 2013
Couldn't connect to twitter. Used to work.
15 June 2013
Welcome back Tweetro, TAKE ALL MY MONEY!
Edit: To reviewers below, Tweetro has no 'Try It' option because that uses up API Token limitations for paying users(this is a Twitter issue)
Edit2:You can Mail a tweet by Selecting a Tweet, then hit Share to Mail app, works for me

I paid months ago $9 for this B***t. Shame on me. Almost scam as I could use it only a few montjs.
4 June 2013
Great UI, good features, just missing a few important ones.
I love this app. It certainly puts the native app from Twitter itself to total shame!
The one critical feature that is missing, and that keeps me searching for an alternate app is the ability to email a tweet. Add emailing and I'd give this the 5th star!!!
27 May 2013
Beautiful interface and easy to use! The app is honestly too steep in cost for a twitter client, but it may very well be the best one for Win8.
11 May 2013
Definitely the best currently available for win8, beautiful, simple and nice. Minor niggles do exist : UI/UX actions on a desktop are not intuitive : too many clicks to access a link within a tweet; or you can only charm share the link TO the tweet, instead of the link IN the tweet (for sending to Instapaper, or Evernote for example). Still worth the money if you use twitter.
2 May 2013
I absolutely love LazyWorm's apps and Tweetro+ is nothing short of amazing. But recently I've noticed the app crashing a LOT more than usual. It typically happens on the main page and Mentions page, so I hope that helps the devs who might read this.

this app was great when it worked, recent update didn't work on my computer. needed to work with developer to get a copy of previous version and works again wonderfully! Very much appreciate their willingness to work with me, sign of a good developer!
