What a simple way to know whether your connection is safe. I am always on public wifi and never know for sure if I am on a secure connection. The WiFi Dashboard app is a great way to stay informed so I can be sure that I am working or surfing online safely.

It doesn't always recognize my WiFi. It says that I'm not connected when I am.

I have had to reinstall windows 8.1 3 times because of problems with backgroundtaskhost.exe hanging and preventing my background programs from loading and all my programs from working when I started windows, now I find this I'm betting this program caused all my problems, because of this! Description
The program backgroundTaskHost.exe version 6.3.9600.16384 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Action Center control panel.
