Ease of use, remembers your place, & no errors after months of use

I have been using Windows 10 Preview and after the latest update it didn't want to play nice with Comix, another premium reader I was using. I have tried 9 different readers and this seems to be the best one for the price and money. It allows you to organize your comics and it goes from one issue to another without having to stop reading or go to a menu. The zoom feature works good and I like the option of it being able to save your zoom in-between pages. Great work!

I would like the ability to edit the library view.

Of all the comic apps I've tried, this is one of the best. PerfectViewer on Android is a little more customizable, but this is my favorite from the Windows App store.

This app failed to recognize some of the .cbr files even though they were created the exact same way.

Great cbr/cbz reader. Recommend a setting to disable the screen shutting down over time while app is open

I can direct it to the folder that holds all of my comics, but it keeps telling me there are no comics in that folder. Fix this or give me a refund.

Best comicbookmreader for windows surface so far! Can open comics straight from harddrive with no need to import. Easy to use and makes your comics look great.

interface is a little messy and i'me not able to read PDF or epub files. I prefer Cover reader over this one. There are more features to customize reading and page layout in this one though.

I happily forked over the dough for this app because, feature-wise, ComicsJolt! simply can't be beat. It has the best user interface, the best usability features... it's the real deal. The best comics experience on Windows 8. I originally gave it five stars. Somewhere along the way, it started crashing randomly. Very randomly, like at the worst possible moment when I'm trying to read a suspenseful part. It happens on every one of my Windows 8 devices (and I have a few of them). I have to amend my rating until such time as the random crashing has been resolved. For now, I'm using a different app, but I hope I can switch back to my favorite comic-reading app soon. Initial testing seems to suggest my problems are caused by file IO errors, which occur because I try to read my comics over a mapped network drive. That makes my situation unique, and hopefully shouldn't effect your decision to purchase this app. The developer has been VERY responsive and friendly!

Love this app function and control features.

A solid reader at a good price point. Handles pretty much everything I've thrown at it. The icons that appear at the bottom when you swipe aren't always obvious as to what they do. Minor quibble that could be fixed with some labels or a help file. No big deal really. Good stuff.

Couple items to check. 1) When you make this app the default reader, it doesn't seem to have an icon when looking at the cbr /cbz files in windows explorer. It should have some form of icon to identify that comicjolt opens those files. 2) When this app is opened in multi windows view in metro, make it by default occupy ~75% of screen. 3) Smart 2 page zoom may need some work. Can each page of the 2 pages zoom to maximum height of the screen, so they appear to be the same size when reading. Currently, to seems the 2 pages are zooming differently. The cover page and first page sometimes appears to be a smaller zoom than the 2nd and 3rd page of 2 page view.

Simply a great comic book reader. Works great and doesn't get in the way. It could use a couple updates to allow some windows 8.1 features and a cleaner more 'metro' home screen but no deal breakers. Download It. You won't be disappointed.

Great app for viewing comics and a must buy if you enjoy reading digital comics. On the surface 2 its a beautiful app. The one and only problem I have with the app is when its a single issue the app will not go back to the bookshelf of my other comics. It just sort of freezes. If you have a series of comics the app is flawless and it always goes to the next comic in the series

Solid interface, formats comics well to the screen. Portrait, landscape, and magna style reading. Easy to add file locations for reading.

Finally found a decent comics reader. For the price, you can't beat it. Let's you load files from a folder or individually. Has landscape or portrait view. Auto sizes the page so it reaches the edge of the screen. I like it.

Awesome and beautiful app, but for some reason it isn't registering a few of my cbr files. It recognizes the vast majority, but just decided to not be able to open like ten of them, despite being the exact same file type. I would really appreciate an update to resolve this random problem.

Please add Japanese Comic Style reading i.e. when two pages are displayed as one, the right page should come before left in Japanese comics.

just wish I could two finger scroll on my laptop's track pad. I used to be able to in previous versions but it seems they've taken that feature out. the comic selection screen still allows it but I just can't get it to work on the comics themselves. Five stars if fixed

Well implemented reader that shows your comics and gets out of the way of the reading. Works on my desktop as well as my touchscreen laptop. Glad to see the developer(s) took the time to implement this using Windows 8 features like semantic zoom. Would have liked to have 2-finger side scrolling support for my Logitech touchpad like the MS news app. Also would have preferred a more "Metro" style to the main page without the busy background. These are small gripes though. Spend the $1.50.

I want my surface to replace my iPad. One of the things I need is a great comic reader app, so far this one is the best (as of 1/4/13) Theres only 2 things in my mind that it from 5 stars, first is I'd like to have my comic series grouped in one tile that opens to the rest of the series, rather than displaying every comic in my entire collection on the front page, and sometimes when you are swiping through pages the charm bars pop up. Not a big deal tho. Regardless best one on win8
