Spends whole days on the same coverage repeating the same stories. Each of the daily "News" hours repeat the same stories. Am sure there is much more going on in the world that is not politics related. Why do they spend hours and hours on the same political coverage. Too many "news alerts." Way too many commercials... Probably 10 minutes of each 1/2 hour is commercials. Why? $$$ Like their better coverage of the news providing the conservative side of political matters compared to the other channels providing only the channel's coverage and the "liberal" views even going to the point of lying about the "facts" knowing it is an outright lie or misleading. Why aren't the true facts reported by the other channels?

Fox News apps on all other platforms allow for live streaming through your cable provider. If the Surface version does as well, I have not yet found the feature and I have been looking for a while.

For those of us still using the RT version of Windows 8 or 8.1 apps play an important role as the only available browser, Internet Explorer, is incapable of loading content-laden websites in a timely manner or streaming media easily. Unfortunately the Fox News app does not bridge the gap between the desktop site and the tablet experience. The ability to stream live news with access from your cable provider, which is available on iOS and the desktop site, is a glaring omission. Additionally the lack of customization options and inclusion of the superfluous "Entertainment" section as a default section are other areas for improvement. There are far better options for reading news stories and Fox News misses the mark where it is most valuable - live TV.

The font for most stories presented with this news app is too small according to my preferences. There is no method to allow me to "pinch" the size to larger, nor to adjust font sizes. It would be nice to add one or both of these features.

This app does not allow you much flexibility to customize what stories you see. I prefer being able to set up preferences so I can see more of one category of news (Sports, Politics, Science, etc) over another.

I use the Fox News App all the time on my android devices and it works great there. However, the UI for this version needs a LOT of work. In particular, I am deleting this after attempting to watch videos using the app. The video player opens a nested Internet Explorer Browser inside the app and plays videos through this instead of playing it independently. After the first video I watched, selecting a second one caused two separate clips to play at the same time (one that I had selected and one that the browser randomly decided to play). Closing and reopening the app resulted in the same issue.

On one hand, it could be worth 2 stars that they at least put an app out. This app has been in the Windows Store a long time, and they never cared to update it or address any issues, that speaks volumes. If this were some programmer's first app, it would be okay. But even a first app would be improved upon. I almost can't believe at minimum they aren't using the Live Tile feature. Fox always seems to have higher standards when it comes to news, well, I suppose that ends at how they actually deliver content. It appears their competition, like the CNN app actually uses Live Tiles, I'll be using that instead.

Some news stories have dark text on dark background making it impossible to read. Also, cannot copy or even highlight text. Not cool.

All it does is display text articles in the app and open browser windows for video, but they never work.

Only problem forgets when you get away from the internet it forgets. At least on a news paper you can keep it and read it at your leisure.

There's no font size adjustment and readability is worsened by the overly busy backgrounds. There are no settings at all. Silly.

Attractive app, but rarely current. Usually displays yesterdays (or older) news. No live tile. Worthless really.

Nice app... works and it's easy on the eyes. I just wish it let me pick the topics I want to see.
