everytime I try and use it it doesn't work

I installed on 2 Windows 8.1 machines. The app errors out stating it is having connectivity issues. If the app is this broken, please remove from MS Store and don't list as having on your site. I tested with Windows 10 as well - same error.

This app doesn't connect. Every time I open it, it says "This app is having issues connecting". I downloaded it so I wouldn't have to open up the website... but nope.

I love this app on the android and apple markets, but it seems to be inoperable on the windows market. I am highly disappointed with the windows version!

Has this app been abandoned. It no longer works and will not start up properly. Have reinstalled several times

This app is a travesty! I can't even get in to the app because it keeps saying that there is a connection error. I will reinstall to see if it works a second time. If not, it will be banished from all of my PC'S.

4/16/2015....Love kayak. Suddenly the app won't launch. What's up? ..............previous review There are a bunch of things to love about Kayak. First, it's optimized for touch screens. I look at a lot of options before I book my travel. Kayak helps me find the best price and time combination. In a browser this is a lot of clicking and back and forth. On a touch screen this is so much easier. Also, I often like to book my flights directly with the airline. Sometimes when there is a problem like a flight that gets cancelled, the airlines are less helpful is you booked through someone else. Kayak tells you how much they can save you, Priceline can save you and how much it costs to go direct to the airline. I usually go direct to the airline and pay a little extra. Kayak makes that easy and all of my information is loaded into the airlines site. Super easy. Love it. Thanks Kayak!

As some reviewers have commented the app is lacking the richer features found on the website... but it's pretty good for the basics and quick searches. Would love to see an update!

Can't access your own Kayak acct

Website has better functionality it seems. Every time I search for a hotel it will display the list, but when I click any hotel it gets to the page for the details of that hotel and shows only the name of the hotel. The app crashes shortly after that.

Very limited. The app for my Droid phone is better. Being installed on Windows 8 should have all options that are available on website.

I don't get this app. No account sign-in. Am I missing something?

once you select the dates, you can't undo or deselect it later!! I don't know how Microsoft want to keep up with this kind of service!

I recently switched to surface from and iPad. This app is pretty, but not useful. It focuses on price rather than schedule. I'm a business traveler. Cost isn't my primary concern. If there's an option to sort by landing time -- a critical feature for me -- I couldn't find it. Very disappointing compared to the iPad and Android versions.

Calendar isn't synched

This is just a flight and hotel search tool, which is useless because the website is a richer experience anyway. This app doesn't let you sign in or see your trips.

This latest update is a massive upgrade on the previous version, which was crash-prone and had a defective calendar (both of those problems are resolved here). I'd give it 5 stars if you could save price alerts (you can on the Kayak website and the Windows Phone app; strange to not have it here).

This is a pathetic excuse for an app. Kayak might as well not have one for Windows. I'm guessing this was written just to appease some higher up who wanted to say they had one. Just use the web page. You'll be much better off.

Does not work

Stopped working completely. It crashes immediately upon opening up. I don't understand the reluctance to ensure that these apps work. Kayak is not the only one who is ignoring the Windows platform. It can't really be that hard!

This app crashes a lot. On one of my PCs, the app crashes immediately every time I try to launch it.

I have brand new PC that came with Windows 8.1 preinstalled and the app crashes immediately.

Crashes before it finishes loading. Gets 1 because I can't give it any less.

Crashes every time I open the app on my Surface RT.

Just installed and tried to start. App crashes immediately with no warning or any other indication. Running Surface Pro with Windows 8.1 with all updates installed.

You cannot even see the app. You just see the splash screen and then it goes away.

Never got to the app...restarted..reinstalled...
