Comments for Tasks by Telerik

I bought this so I could sync between my Surface Pro 3 and Windows Phone. I paid for their premium sync service, but every time I try to register with their proprietary sync service, I get an error. This is consistent across two Surface Pro 3s and two different Windows Phones. Requests for support have been completely ignored for weeks.

Required purchasing multiple times if you want to use it on your PC and phone.

This app could really get your life truly organized if it didn't keep on crashing every time. It makes it unreliable which is one quality an app like this can't afford to loose. Otherwise I did how it looks.

I tried a million tasks list apps. most were lacking, had a dumb interface, didn't suit my need (sync to my windows phone), or were limited unless you paid. As for a free app, this one is great. Sub tasks would make it perfect. I would even pay for it.

One rang, you can't delete all tasks, you have to always have one, so its kinda pointless to always be changing the title of it...

Task by Telerik has potential to become a great task and project planning application, which is why I put up with the very poor support. My password no longer works and I paid for another subscription after no response to my several support request to Telerik (“YES” Telerik I have emails as proof). I receive constant sync error messages throughout the day and of course no response from Telerik support. There are not many Task applications for Windows that will sync to all windows devices, and Telerik has a potentially good application if they could resolve the sync issues and respond to support request. Telerik you can’t hide your head in the sand forever; eventually you’ll have to come up for air.

It would be nice to have an option to have tasks reoccur every other week.

When syncing with Google and tasks are pulled FROM Google, the due date of the task is off one day. Say if the due date is tomorrow, it'll show a due date of today. If the task is due the day after tomorrow, it'll show a due date of tomorrow. Please fix.

this app is months away from being at the quality level required for limited public beta testing... opening a recurring app resets the recurrence to daily, syncing (with Telerik's servers) is buggy at best, creating duplicate tasks and categories on other devices... selecting to delete completed tasks immediately results in recurring task not recurring (just getting blown away)... if this app was ever tested by a QA department, it would never have been released, was looking for an alternate to the task bugs in Outlook & Outlook.com... Telerik's tasks is a miniscule subset of the Outlook offering, and makes Outlook's bugs seem insignificant... whoever worked on this has no business authoring software for use by other people

This app has a lot of promise, but I'm having a number of issues with daily use. These issues extend beyond the app itself to the developer website. I created a Telerik cloud sync account within the app, however, when I go to the website, it has no knowledge of me. While the website has no knowledge, the app on my desktop syncs well. Syncing on my Windows Phone is another problem. Each time I try to sync, I get the error "Current error context error is different to requested error." Don't have a clue about what its trying to tell me. I've contacted support with my problem on 12/5/2014. I will update this post and rating upon their reply and resolution efforts. I purchased all options for this application via the Microsoft Store. So far, it appears the phone app wants me to purchase the options again (meaning I have to purchase for all devices). Again, I'll update this post upon support response.

Great app! Wish it weren't so buggy. Spent 15 minutes with it and found multiple issues. Not useable in its current form.

Task & Notes on Android supports repeating tasks so I don't see any reason why this one can't.

No password recovery! As a paid customer, I am pretty shocked at the lack of support offered by Telerik's web site. Still doesn't support different snap sizes we got in Windows 8.1.

This app has the best idea for task management but unfortunately there are stability issues, duplicate item issues, and some other annoying bugs. I spoke with Telerik and unfortunately they have no releases planned. Contact them via e-mail or Twitter and let them know you would like at least a maintenance update.

The live tile only shows a count. It doesn't appear to show any tasks. Bummer.

Nice application but could it be harder to purchase?

This may work for Google but I could not get it to log onto our exchange server. Another task manager did link, so must be problem with App. Don't buy until you try!

I've only been using this app for two days so this opinion is not thorough. What I can say is that the interface is attractive, fluid and easy to use. What it lacks is the ability to create hierarchy with sub-tasks, although that can likely be substituted with priority sorting etc. Also, I have to sign-in for the Google sync every time I leave and come back to my PC after a while. Once I eliminate this hassle, I'll feel confident to purchase the full-featured application. Finally, drag and drop to manage/rearrange tasks into different projects would be handy. A little buggy at times with resizing itself in "snap view" and refreshing due dates, but overall, a great and snappy application that is a pleasure to use and to look at. Hadn't crashed once yet.

I love this app but the only problem is this is not handy.. If I get this synchronized with google tasks then this will be my first priority in task management. right now its quite useless and tiresome to type everything but don't get it all synced in my android.

I purchased the Exchange Sync add-on and did not get an activation code. I was able to add my Outlook.com account, but it does not appear to be syncing. Please sent me an activation code.

This app is ALMOST exactly what I need. What I need is an app that can deal with Exchange tasks. This app (for a reasonable fee) can deal with Exchange tasks. EXCEPT that it only syncs the first 200 tasks created for any given account. Unfortunately, my Exchange server does not automatically delete tasks once they are completed, so this app only synced 200 completed tasks and (other than deleting tasks from the server) there is no way to change this behavior, without waiting for the app to delete these completed tasks for me (which I do not want it to do). However, short of this bug specific to me, it does look like a good, well-written app.

It keeps regenerating new tasks from Outlook. Also they claim to be responsive, but can take almost a week to answer a bug report.

This app has a lot of promise to solve the problem of managing daily tasks and small projects with an easy to use interface. But, it falls short of a pleasant experience with almost every feature. Maybe if you only used their cloud synchronization it would be fine. But as a business person who lives by my Exchange calendar and task list in Outlook, many of the categorization and customization features are broken for no reason other than the developers don't seem to use it that way to know what's wrong. I bought their cloud sync to augment Exchange, but it doesn't work that way. Instead you have to choose which provider each task syncs to. Plus, now it forces my tasks into a project, when most are just to-do items, not project tasks. It's so frustrating because the app is pretty and the experience is fairly well designed, so it's close to being good. They just need to use it like a real business user and figure it out. Sync providers should augment, not change behavior.

Horrible! After being excited to organize my life with this app I loaded all my important tasks and events into the calendar. Seemed great and worked for two weeks. One morning it deleted all my entered information and I kept getting an error message when I tried to access my information. this was a huge waste of time and my life. Horrible and extremely disappointing. Thanks a lot.
