Loads fine on win 8.1 and the news stories are fun. Hourly and daily forecast, doesn't force you to give private info under guise of 'setting up your account' or ask /demand your location or email.

For whatever reason, the controls for Google AdSense ads in The Weather Channel app always appear in Spanish for me but my language is English. They even access the Spanish version Google AdSense website instead of the English version. There doesn't appear to be anything I can do to affect this so I'm assuming this is a setting on The Weather Channel's end. I find this very offensive personally and will never desire anything advertised that is promoted using Spanish, whether content or ad controls.
