Zamora Time

Zamora Time is a productivity app for those of us who wish we had ‘some more a time’ (say it with an Italian accent). With the task list, timer, tracking of interruptions, and simple metrics, Zamora Time’s time management features will enable you to be more productive. End your quest for more time; download Zamora Time! Zamora Time is based on a time management method called the Pomodoro Technique®. The Pomodoro Technique®, developed by Francesco Cirillo in the 1980s, uses a timer to break down periods of work into 25 minute intervals called 'Pomodoros'. There are 5 basic steps to implementing the technique: 1 Decide on the task to be done 2 Set the timer 3 Work on the task until the timer rings 4 Take a short break (i.e. 5 minutes) 5 Every four Pomodoros take a longer break Zamora Time is not affiliated with, associated with nor endorsed by the Pomodoro Technique® or Francesco Cirillo. The Pomodoro Technique® and Pomodoro™ are registered and filed trademarks by Francesco Cirillo

Features:

  • For today tasks
  • Inventory tasks
  • Task estimation
  • Task timer
  • Track interruptions
  • Track urgent or unplanned tasks
  • Usage trends
  • Detailed history
  • Timer and notifications run on the background (don't need to have app on screen)
  • Data export - take your data with you or further analyze in tools like Excel

I was looking for a simple timer as I manage my tasks elsewhere. This app is way over the top for me.

This app is nice, and to be fair it's better than some of the others. Unfortunately it has a few issues. First of all, with history it's too easy to unknowingly wipe it out (either a bug or perhaps just a UI design flaw caused me to erase what I had already completed). If an app is going to offer history like this as a feature (which is nice and is one of the features that I thought nicely set it apart from others), this is a real problem. Secondly, there is no "Pause", and the "interruptions" feature is really weak and just doesn't cut it. Too bad, with a little more effort the developer could have made this great. Perhaps they will improve it in this way. wipe it out that makes it just comes up short because

Does not work well with windows 8. It's not really functional. You can't see the app/use it while doing other things on the desktop. It also doesn't sound an alarm when the 25 minutes/break is up, unless you're only viewing that window (which means you can't be working on another task and still hear the timer go off). It does provide a tiny pop up notification that may or not be seen depending on what you're doing and where your eyes are directed.

I finally figured out that I can go into completed tasks and add a task back. This is the best program I have found to do this type scheduling.

This is my favorite pomodoro app, I've been using it with Time Manage.me (Another pomodoro app) and I wish I could combine the two together to make the perfect pomodoro app. I like how Zamora Time has an alarm option and tracks my progress, but I wish it was easier to just set up and go at the click of a button rather than having to add all tasks, assign number of pomodoros, and then go. Most times I don't want to write down all my tasks and just want a timer. But in the end it's an excellent app.

I didn't see how breaks actually worked, but overall, I really like the functionality, including trends, and the internal and external interruptions tracking.

Love this app! I really like the Pomodoro technique, and this app is great for helping implement it into your daily routine. I would like the ability to schedule tasks in the future. I'm only able to schedule for the current day. At least the ability to schedule for tomorrow would be great, though having a full calendar for scheduling would make sense. Also, as others state, we should be able to move uncompleted tasks to the next day.

Really nice app! The only thing I am missing is (optional) skydrive sharing and tagging.

I really like this app, I wish it had a few additions though: implementation of a time cycle option, as soon as the 25 min are up, it automatically enters break time; ticking sound is really loud, compared to the music I study with. although I really like , the ticking sound volume should have some kind of control independent of the system volume control; some kind of visualizations with no sound effects for when time reaches half your time cycle and when there's a minute left; change background. PLEASE ADD BACKGROUND COLORS!!!!!
